If we're not hooked at least halfway through, now that we're no longer obligated by a curriculum, it's probably best to pick a different book :)Aria Glazkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17566964877939697962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3330766246822130643.post-49948618890407288392013-02-27T18:09:16.381-05:002013-02-27T18:09:16.381-05:00You're right, Aria. I have to keep reminding myself that there are so many good books out there, I shouldn't be wasting my time on anything else. Thanks for putting Shadow of the Wind back on my radar, by the way. It's one I own and haven't picked up for some reason!Jody Casellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17892174349776047862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3330766246822130643.post-45189659071310259572013-02-27T15:10:02.227-05:002013-02-27T15:10:02.227-05:00I think it's okay to be a picky reader! I think by your standards, I've always been a picky reader, but I'm not ashamed of that (and I don't believe others should be). You're not snobby, you're discerning – which doesn't mean you won't try new or unknown books, but that you aren't satisfied by poor quality.

If you haven't read it, consider "The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon - absolutely beautiful book!Aria Glazkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17566964877939697962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3330766246822130643.post-47975833769291823772013-02-23T08:15:10.372-05:002013-02-23T08:15:10.372-05:00Well, your book totally clicked, I'll tell you...Well, your book totally clicked, I'll tell you that.
